Speedcars Australia Hold AGM, Adopt Speedway Australia Rule Book
On the weekend of July 29 2011, Speedcars Australia held their Annual General Meeting in Brisbane.
As a result of the meeting, Speedcars Australia have elected to compete under the jurisdiction of the Speedway Australia Racing Rules and Regulations.
Previously Speedcars have competed under the jurisdiction of their own rule book.
Speedcars Australia secretary Ron Glazebrook noted the motives for the change.
“We feel that this will, for want of a better description, simplify matters, and stop confusion at the race track, as in the past when two rules books are being quoted.” Wrote Mr Glazebrook.
“The Speedcar Board is committed to the growth of our sport.”
Speedcars Australia agreed unanimously that continuing to work closely with Speedway Australia to promote and protect the sport of Speedcar racing is of the highest priority.
The board also elected to adopt a new mission statement, and commence the development of a business plan and strategy for future growth.
