RIP Bruce Howle
Speedway Australia and Speedway NSW/ACT are mourning the loss of a stalwart in Australian Speedway, Mr Bruce Howle.
Bruce passed away last night (August 21 2011) after losing his battle with cancer.
Bruce lived and breathed Speedway and will be sadly missed by all of those involved in the administration of the sport, and by the competitor groups he was always willing to advise and offer suggestions to.
Bruce acted as the Speedway NSW/ACT Government Liaison Officer and held an inpependent position on the Speedway NSW/ACT Board. Bruce also competed in Speedcar racing and served as a club official. In the 1980's Bruce worked with Peter Dodd and other to establish the Federation of Australian Speedway; setting the foundations for Speedway's current insurance scheme. The pair also travelled extensively throughout Australia performing track inspections and other important duties.
Speedway Australia and Speedway NSW/ACT would like to offer their condolences to Bruce's family. He will be sorely missed by his family and the Speedway community.

Leppington (Sydney)
12 noon, Monday August 29 2011.
