Urgent Safety Bulletin: Impact Racing Product Decertification
On Friday March 26 2010, The SFI Foundation issued a decertification notice applying to all Impact Racing Products in response to Impact’s alleged counterfeiting of SFI conformance labels and patches.
Impact Racing has filed an appeal against the decision, and a court hearing is scheduled for April 1, 2010. After this date additional details on the suitability of Impact Racing Equipment may become available.
NASR is currently seeking further clarification as to what articles of equipment are affected by this action and would like to inform all competitors that they may continue to use their existing Impact Racing equipment until further notice.
NASR urges all competitors to be aware of this situation and refrain from purchasing any new Impact Racing equipment until this situation is resolved.
Please Note: Impact helmets are not affected by this decertification.
