Speedway Australia Board Welcomes New Chairperson
Speedway Australia wishes to congratulate new Board Chairperson, Wendy Turner of Speedway City, South Australia. Wendy will assume the position for a 2 year term.
Under Wendy's watch, Speedway City has built a national and international reputation as one of the sports most exciting and memorable venues and looks forward to the challenges associated with her new position.
Wendy steps in to replace outgoing Chairman, Neil Sayer (former Speedway Sedans Australia CEO).
"The sport is currently in a terrific position, making it an opportune time for me to step away from the post and hand the reigns over to someone else," commented Mr Sayer. "I wish Wendy the best of luck as the new Speedway Australia Chairperson."
The Board, Speedway Australia staff and attendees thanked Mr Sayer for his considerable contributions during his time as Speedway Australia Chairman at the AGM on Sunday October 16. Neil maintains his position on the Board temporarily at the Board's request until the position is filled.
Calls for nominations will be distributed by Speedway Australia shortly.
