Queenslander Kevin Britten capped off a perfect weekend at the Lucas Oil Lismore Speedway on Easter Sunday night by taking out the 2012 AZA Motel NSW V8 Dirt Modified Championship.
Britten started the 30-lap main event from pole position and beat fellow front-row occupant Mark Robinson into turn one, securing the all important top spot on what was largely a one-lane racetrack.
Britten guided his JBR Motorsport Troyer to victory by leading every lap, withstanding several challenges from the Australian Champion (Robinson), particularly over the closing laps.
Britten simply drove an error-free race on his way to his first victory of the season.
"It certainly wasn't easy to drive around this track," said Britten. "You had to drive around the ruts and come out of the corner at the right point to make sure you weren't sliding up into the slick part of the track, so it was a bit of a handful."
Queenslander David Clark secured the final podium position.
