Dirt Modifieds Australia Elect New President
Mr Gary Wathen was formally elected President of Dirt Modifieds Australia at the annual Dirt Modifieds Australia AGM held in Tweed Heads.
The vacant Vice President position was filled by Jane Britten, with the incumbent Secretary (Shawn Mortimer) and Treasurer (Ben Graham) retaining their positions through to 2013.
"I feel I've got plenty to offer" commented the newly elected President Gary Wathen. "I set myself a goal to send everybody away from this AGM with a positive outlook and I think we have achieved that , even over and above my expectations"
Also discussed at the AGM was the Dirt Modified Sportsman category, engine costs and curtailing competitor expenditure, specifications and the Junior Dirt Modified category.
"The spec book is finished and will be available on the website in the very near future" explained Wathen. "Then we will be calling for expressions of interest from people who are interested in establishing committees in each state to get the Junior Dirt Modified up and running."
