Speedway Victoria 2012 AGM, Drivers Championship and Safety Day Recap
AGM Results
At the AGM, several committee members were nominated and accepted, and ammendments were made to Speedway Victoria's Rules of Association in accordance with section 22(2) of the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 (Victoria).
Chris Olsson of the Victorian Formula 500 Association was re-elected as a Competitor Representative, and was joined by new appointment Kellie Atkins of the Victorian Modified Production Association.
Chris Olsson was also elected as Speedway Victoria Chairperson, replacing Mark Sheen (resigned).
Ann Golding (Hamilton Drivers Club) was elected as a Track/Club Representative, replacing Ron Petch (Rosedale Speedway, resigned).

Safety Training Day
The Safety Training Day drew 74 attendees to Premier Speedway.
Speedway Victoria would like to thank David Mills and the Premier Speedway committee for hosting the Safety Training Day, and offer a huge thank you to Jeff Ubergang and the Allansford Fire Brigade for organising and controlling the fire fighting demonstrations.
Another thank you to Tony Oxford and the Portland St Johns Ambulance members for organising the car extraction demonstrations, and thank you to Simon van Ginneken and Scott Mallen for generously supplying race cars for demonstration purposes.
Also, a special thank you to guest presenters Suzi Stropin of Youth Health and Wellbeing and Michael Noah of South West Sport and to Jerry for organising lunch and morning tea for all attendees.
