Speedway History Documented In Speedway's Spectacular Seventies
Speedway's Spectacular Seventies is an overview of the evolution of Speedway racing in Victoria during the 1970s, penned by Speedway historian, Ray Read.
The book was proudly supported by a Speedway Australia grant, and features a foreword by Speedway Australia General Manager, Dale Gilson.
Ray Read has a rich history in Speedway as both a competitor, commentator and administrator. Ray was given the moniker "Mr Speedway" for his ongoing achievements during the seventies, and is eminently qualified to write a history of Speedway in Victoria during the period.
The book will be officially launched at the Euroa "Australian Show 'n' Shine" on October 7 2012. Following the launch, the 178 page book will be available for a cost of $30 at local Speedway meetings for the beginning of the 2012/13 season.
