Rising Star Jarman Dalitz Wins First Feature of Season at Speedway City

Jarman Dalitz scored his first feature win in style at Speedway City’s Opening Night event on Saturday, October 27.
Starting from the outside front row, Dalitz used the high side of the track to take the lead exiting turn 2 at the start of the race and built a small gap.
From that point on Dalitz slowly built on his lead during the opening half of the race before he hit lap traffic in the later stages of the race.
The lap traffic allowed Joel Chadwick to have a clearer path and he closed up to Dalitz in the closing lap and mounted a challenge for the victory on the final turn of the race.
Dalitz stuck to his line using a higher line on the track to carry extra speed and beat Chadwick to finish line in a thrilling conclusion.
The result also saw Dalitz claim the 12 lap track record at Speedway City and take an early lead in the Universal Metal Cleaners Wingless Sprint Track Championship.
“After the disappointment of last week it was great to bounce back and take my first feature win of the season and also my first feature race at Speedway City.” Dalitz commented. “The car has been really fast lately and the early win should give me some extra confidence during the rest of the season. It was a great race with Joel and I was glad I could hold on at the finish.”
Earlier in the night Dalitz started his opening heat in 8th position and avoided the chaos both in front and behind him to finish in a solid 4th place.
The 2nd heat saw Dalitz take the win after starting from pole position and he was able to control the restart which bunched the field up with 2 laps remaining.
Jarman Dalitz and the Itz Racing team will return to Speedway City this Saturday, November 3 for the 2nd round of the Universal Metal Cleaners Wingless Sprint Series.
