NASR Rising Star: Callum Williamson
NASR is proud to announce the first participant to be selected for the 2011 NASR Rising Star Program, Callum Williamson of Geraldton, Western Australia.
Callum, 17, started racing Go Karts at age 8 with the dream of one day racing Sprintcars.
In 2009/10, Callum raced a 360 Sprintcar at the tender age of 16 and won the SAWA Rookie of the Year award, as well as becoming the 1st Motorplex Track Champion for the 360 Sprintcar Division.
Callum aspires to become a Contracted Driver for a racing team and would like to travel interstate and overseas to compete.
In 2011, The NASR Rising Star Program will give the opportunity for young drivers to improve themselves in a range of areas including fitness training, psychology and marketing and media training, which will assist them in formulating a pathway to achieve their speedway dream.
