Rising Star: Daniel Harding
NASR is proud to announce the seventh participant to be selected for the 2011 NASR Rising Star Program, Daniel Harding of Perth, Western Australia.
Daniel began his Speedway career in 1995 on a Pee Wee bike at Bibra Lake Speedway. Daniel continued on to Junior and Senior Solos, even competing in the United Kingdom.
In 2005, Daniel took his talents to the tarmac, competing on the Aussie Racing Cars circuit before returning to Speedway in a Formula 500. Between 2008 and 2010, Daniel has achieved a long list of notable accolades, including finishing 4th in the WA State Title. Daniel also collected a trio of awards in 2009, becoming PTQCC Best & Fairest, Driver’s Driver and overall Champion. In 2010, Daniel finished 1st in the Formula 500 Australian Title and will look to defend that title in 2011.
Daniel will use his experience at the Australian Institute of Sport to learn about focus and discipline, which will help him achieve his dream of becoming a Sprintcar champion.
In 2011, The NASR Rising Star Program will give the opportunity for young drivers to improve themselves in a range of areas including fitness training, psychology and marketing and media training, which will assist them in formulating a pathway to achieve their speedway dream.
