World Series Sprintcars Chairman Resigns
The Management Board of World Series Sprintcars today announced the resignation of its Chairman, Mr Geoff Kendrick.
"Presiding over the WSS has been challenging and exciting. I took my role on some 18 months ago with the purpose of setting up a solid platform from which WSS can build on and I believe I have achieved that during my tenure" said Mr Kendrick.
He continued, "I will always be proud of my association with the WSS. I'm taking this action, after lengthy consideration, so both the WSS and I can move forward."
The WSS Management Board plans to explore a full range of options as it considers Mr Kendrick's successor.
Preparations for the World Series Sprintcars 2010-11 Season roll on in spite of the setback, with the driver line up and season schedule released to the public last week. The series will kick off at Brisbane International Speedway on November 20 and will feature a star-studded line up of contracted drivers, including reigning champion Brooke Tatnell and young Australian Sprintcar Champion James McFadden.
