Speedway Australia is pleased to offer Speedway Australia Insured Tracks the opportunity to purchase spectator safety glasses in bulk at a reduced rate.

Hi-Tec Oils WSS Expanding Online Reach

 



As Hi-Tec Oils World Series Sprintcars prepares for the western swing of the 2011/12 championship, the series' online offerings continue to reach unprecedented audiences in Australia and internationally.

During a successful 2010/11 campaign, the launch of the WSS Mobile web app and increased focus on the WSS website attracted some 75,000 visitors throughout the season. In 2011/12, World Series Sprintcars eclipsed those numbers before the end of Speedweek; some 112,000 people have visited worldseriessprintcars.com.au through the first 10 rounds, a number that jumps to 212,000 when factoring in the WSS Mobile web app and Race Night Live on desktop.

McFadden Holds Commanding Lead As Series Heads West

 



Prior to this season James McFadden had never won a World Series Sprintcars A-Main, but after 10 rounds of the 2011/12 World Series Sprintcars season, the youngster has captured 6 A-Main victories and holds a commanding 423 point lead over closest rival, Brooke Tatnell.

The 25th Anniversary Season has lived up to its billing as being one of the most competitive in series history, with Tatnell's round 10 Speedway City win the first victory for a contracted driver.

Jordan Paces NSSS Field After 8 Rounds

 



Australian Super Sedan Champion, Steve Jordan holds a 205 point advantage over reigning NSSS champion, Darren Kane in the 2011/12 National Super Sedan Series.

Jordan is yet to win a round of the series in the A1 car, but consistent podium appearances have catapulted him to the lead. Brad Smith and Dave Gartner have both been superb, winning 2 races each, while Darren Kane, Wayne Randall and Lachlan Onley are the other A-Main winners in the series so far.

Mark Robinson Wins 2012 V8 Dirt Modified Championship

 



Mark Robinson raced to an emotional victory in the 2012 Australian V8 Dirt Modified Championship at the Avalon Raceway in Victoria on Saturday January 14. Robinson learned just days prior to Christmas that his eldest daughter Allie (2) was battling Leukemia, and had been by her bedside at the Royal Children's Hospital in Brisbane for the past three weeks.

It was the Lismore (NSW) racer's second Australian Championship victory, having claimed his maiden crown in Brisbane in 2005.

Speedway Australia is pleased to offer all Insured Tracks the opportunity to register themselves at speedwayaustralia.net.au and administer their track's details as well as add Speedway Events at their venue to the Speedway Australia event calendar.

Registration is a simple process that can be done from any computer with internet access. Once a user is registered, they can access the "My Tracks", "My Events" and the brand new "My Forms" facilities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from anywhere in the world.
