In support of the application, Speedway Australia require 4 copies of published work from the previous season and a letter of accreditation from your editor. Following a review of the applicant’s media activities and positive support of speedway Speedway Australia will confirm Gold, Silver or Bronze Media Credential status in the categories of Journalist, Photographer or Videographer (please read the Speedway Australia Media Accreditation Policy below for guidelines).
Gold Accreditation will only be approved if you are endorsed by a major publication. New passport size photos must be provided if you photo has not been updated within the last two years. Photographers will be issued with a photography vest that meets Occupational Health and Safety requirements and must be worn at all Speedway Australia insured events and tracks.
Please remember that this media credential is a privilege to hold and proper protocol needs to be upheld. Also please remember that Speedway Australia Media Credential do not guarantee full access to be all speedway infields. Each track has its own specific requirements that also need to be respected.
Speedway Australia strongly recommends that media members contact all promoters one week prior to arriving at your local speedway of your intent and purpose of your coverage of an upcoming event. Failure to comply will result in your request being declined for this season or in the future.
Speedway Australia would like to thank members of the media for their continued support of speedway racing and we look forward to building closer relationships with ALL media representatives and organisations. Speedway Australia relies on media to help raise public awareness and professionalism of speedway. By everyone working towards a common goal, speedway will continue to grow and become more mainstream.
